Music is Dangerous -Concert Version is a music tale, narrated by instruments playing together. Nicola Piovani tells the story of his musical journey and also tells us how –in his life- he was influenced by De André, Fellini, Magni, and Spanish, French, Dutch film, theatre or music directors, instrumental singers. A mix of unpublished theatre pieces and new versions of famous ones. When it comes to theatre, words get where music cannot arrive, and above all, Music is the master where words can’t go or they don’t know where to go.


Nicola Piovani


Pianist, composer, and orchestra conductor. In 1968, he wrote his first score for the newsreel on the student revolt, which opened the doors to collaborations with prominent Italian and international directors. Over the years, he has won an Academy Award, three David di Donatello, four Soundtrack Awards, two Nastri d’Argento, two Ciak d’Oro, and has been nominated for the César Award, only to name a few. He also composes theatre music and works in musical theatre. He is the founder of the Compagnia della Luna with author Vincenzo Cerami. He has also collaborated as a songwriter with Fabrizio De André and Roberto Benigni.
